With every new iteration, Double Mountain has NAILED – I mean like with a sledgehammer – what they were going for in these bottles. Every time, with zero missteps.
This is a bottle of Magic…one of those beers. From one of those places. At one of those times when we all could really use a little touch of Something Wonderful.
Crux Gypsy Coolship – the idea and this beer – is a blast of fresh air, fresh inspiration, and fresh flavors that blows the cobwebs off a crowded beer culture.
This may be one of the most timely, most surprising, most cleanly flavorful, most wildly and compusively drinkable, and most purely delicious ales I’ve ever tasted from The Folks On Simpson.
Double Mountain “Simcoe A GoGo” is one of my favorite ales to come out of the PNW, here in 2019…Just a fine, classy, casually-brilliant beer.
As with everything else from Crux, Job One is drinkability and in that both Lawn Party and Cruising Altitude prove out among the best beers from the Northwest, in 2019.
