IMO, this is one of at least the top ten IPAs I have EVER tasted from WA state. It us STUPIDLY fine: lovely subtle fruit flavors, dazzling, fine-grained, prettily BITTER Chinook hops, great, satisfying body, pleasing finish…a bona fide masterpiece
Just know that, to some guy who tastes about 500 – 650 IPAs every year, these had that certain Something that really set them apart.
Drink beer made by great brewers and you’ll find great hazy beers. Drink just any old haze…and you may just wind up soured on the whole style.
This is simply one of the best beers from anywhere in the US that I’ve tasted in a solid fifteen years and an absolute Achievement in cross-cultural brewing in America.
Brewers today are happily exploring the Other Things that hops can bring to their beers, besides just the predictable bitterness…
