Talus goes from dank to stunningly complex without breaking a sweat. Flavors innate to this flower cavort around your mouth like some barely-controlled naked bacchanalia.
This is a fine, SERIOUS seasonal Stout, with BODY (No pun intended) for days, depth, richness, and not a bit of pandering to the craft newbie crowd who insist on dragging their childhood candy habits into their adult beer fandom.
As senses reawaken, apparently so does the spark of collaboration and with these gorgeous ales, Double Mountain and E9 both have something to immediately get us excited about.
With every new iteration, Double Mountain has NAILED – I mean like with a sledgehammer – what they were going for in these bottles. Every time, with zero missteps.
Double Mountain “Simcoe A GoGo” is one of my favorite ales to come out of the PNW, here in 2019…Just a fine, classy, casually-brilliant beer.
