Double Mountain Brewery: How d’Ya Like Them Apples?
With every new iteration, Double Mountain has NAILED – I mean like with a sledgehammer – what they were going for in these bottles. Every time, with zero missteps.

Double Mountain “Simcoe A GoGo” is one of my favorite ales to come out of the PNW, here in 2019…Just a fine, classy, casually-brilliant beer.
“Juicy Clearly Not Hazy” is a big, fat, JUICY milepost in the evolution of PNW brewing and it’s going to help change your mind about whether Life Without Fog is possible.
Just this week, I got samples from two exceptional PNW brewers whom I would have probably chosen if someone had come to me and said, “NameĀ a brewery in each state that you would bet money on making a great Brut.”
I’ve said this a lot and I plan to keep saying it until enough people start to get it: Full Sail is a spectacular brewery.
pFriem Family Brewers is killin’ it. If they are not, in fact, the best brewery in this region, they are, at very least, on a ridiculously-short list of maybe three or four.
Full Sail definitely deserves to be taken every bit as seriously as your current Flavor of The Month brewery.
While I have zero affinity for Mexican lagers, I have infinite respect for those who make them. They’re not cynical, as a rule. They’re trying…they just don’t have a lot to work with.
